WezTerm
A GPU-accelerated cross-platform terminal emulator and multiplexer written in Rust.
WezTerm is a GPU-accelerated terminal emulator and multiplexer written in Rust that runs on macOS, Linux, Windows, and FreeBSD. It combines high-performance terminal rendering with a built-in multiplexer supporting tabs, panes, and persistent sessions across restarts. Configuration is done entirely in Lua, allowing users to script complex window management, key bindings, and workspace dynamics. WezTerm supports ligatures, hyperlinks, image protocol, true color, and search across scrollback. Its multiplexer architecture lets you detach and reattach to sessions, providing a tmux-like experience without external dependencies. With both GUI and CLI modes, it seamlessly adapts to local and remote workflows.
